Description
This “secondary series” silver sceat coin was minted in east Kent, England and circulate from 680-720AD. It features a distinct Anglo-Saxon motif containing a coiled wolf-headed serpent with a beaded body and an extended bifurcated tongue. It was reportedly discovered near Winchester, England in the year 1839.------
