Hoosier Depression Glass CARDINAL Storage Jar/Canister
We are pleased to offer this lovely vintage 1 Quart Hoosier Glass Storage Jar/Canister with red Christmas cardinal/bird applied decal manufactured by the Brockway Glass Company. It stands 6" tall and measures 5" square across the bottom. It has a metal screw-on cap that retains most of its light green paint. It is marked with an embossed circled B, with 5575 above it, 12 to the left and 3 below it.
Similar glass canisters are pictured in Gene Florence's "Kitchen Glassware of the Depression Years: Identification and Value Guide." It has  a bit of wear on the decal to be expected at this age (extremely minor); otherwise it is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Just a lovely piece of vintage Hoosier Glass that you are sure to want to add to your collection - especially if you have a country kitchen or decorate in the bird or cardinal motif.
