DECON – PPE DECONTAMINATION SPRAYER
FOR ON-SCENE AND GEAR DECONTAMINATION
Ram Air provides departments with an arsenal of ways to provide gross decontamination at the scene of an incident and gear decontamination at the station. Ram Air’s PPE Decontamination Sprayer can be directly connected to a fire or pumper truck for effective on-scene washing of PPE and clean-up of the sidewalk or street following an incident. It is also part of Ram Air’s Special-Ops Decon System which teams the PPE Decontamination Sprayer with the Ram Air Rinse Station/Staging Accessory and a T4-IHT Gear Dryer to make cleaning special-ops gear at the station easy.
The PPE Decontamination Sprayer can be directly connected to a fire or pumper truck for gross decontamination of PPE at the scene—effectively reducing carcinogens and hydrocarbons on gear. The sprayer automatically mixes water and gear-cleaning solutions/disinfectants to reduce cross contamination and gear off-gassing. The PPE Decontamination Sprayer makes spray-down of the scene quick and easy—helping to reduce the risk of blood borne pathogens and restoring safety to the area. It can also be used as part of the gear decon system at the station to properly clean/disinfect hazmat, immersion and ice-rescue suits that cannot be washed in a mechanical washer.
