Vintage Set of 7 Dennison Bookcase Slide Boxes Sewing Accessories ### RARE ###

Description

This is a set of 7 Dennison bookcase slide boxes containing sewing accessories. Each box contains a small amount of sewing supplies -
buttons, silk thread, darning thread, cotton thread, needles, pins, and hooks & eye snaps. I cannot confirm that the contents are original but they look "vintage" to me.
The gold foil inner boxes are all in excellent condition. Maybe some minor wear due to age, but no tears in the seams or the foil covering.
The outer cases (except for two minor defects) are also in excellent condition. T
he edges are firm - the creases have not been split or flattened, so they are all pretty stiff.
The top and bottom edges have some slight signs of wear as you would expect for their age and how they would typically be handled.
You would have to examine them closely to see that.
The hooks, eyes & snaps box
has some discoloring on the spine,
and the inside of the right front cover seems to be somewhat split, but not to the point of damaging the box or covering.
There is also a small dent at the lower right front cover
of the silk thread box, minor and not distracting from the set in my opinion.
Our mother (still with us, thankfully), collected a huge amount of sewing & quilting supplies, and collectables she never did a lot with. Unfortunately she can't
sew any more and doesn't remember all the things she collected over the years. I will be listing more as I can.
